How To Buy

Step 1: Register.

Registration Process
Our registration process is quick and simple. Just click here and fill out the form. Choose the type of registration that you prefer, the trial registration or annual registration. Pay the registration fee of $150 (only if applicable), make an initial security deposit of $400. Immediately, you will receive via e-mail your user name and password which enables you to start searching for the  vehicle(s) you are interested in. After your on-line registration is completed, e-mail a copy of your ID to info@easyexport.us or fax it to +1 786 294 6709 and once your information is verified and processed, you will be able to start browsing and biding at A Better Bid Car Auctions for vehicle(s) you want.

 

I.D. Required for Registration:
US Residents may provide us with either a copy of their driver’s license or state I.D. Non US Residents with a copy of their passport.

 

Types of Registration
For your convenience, we have two types of registration to choose from: a Trial Registration and an Annual Registration.

 

Our Trial Registration is free, no registration fee is required, just the initial security deposit of $400.00 which is fully refundable at any time. It is valid for thirty (30) days and for one (1) purchase only. During this period of time it enables you to browse the A Better Bid Car Auctions website, choose, bid and purchase only one vehicle. You can cancel your free Trial Registration at any time during the period of the Trial Registration by choosing the cancellation option on “My Account” at ING’s website.


In the event you do not cancel prior to the expiration of the Trial Registration, your account will be closed and deposit refunded to you.

 

You can also upgrade your Trial Registration to an Annual Registration anytime simply paying the annual non-refundable registration fee of $150.00 by clicking here.

 

Annual Registration is valid for one (1) year and for multiple purchases. The Annual non-refundable Registration fee is $150.00. Initial security deposit is $400.00; it is fully refundable at any time. During Annual Registration you have the ability to browse through A Better Bid Car Auctions website and bid on and purchase unlimited number of vehicles during one (1) year. The Annual Registration will not be automatically renewed, the registration fee of 150$ is required to be paid, unless it is cancelled by you at least thirty (30) days prior the expiration of the Annual Registration period. You can cancel your Annual Registration at any time during the period of the Annual Registration by choosing the cancellation option on “My Account” at A Better Bid Car Auctions website.

 

ATTENTION: The full deposit refund is accompanied by the account cancellation. In order to keep account active you must have minimum deposit of $400.00 at all time. Partial refunds are made on your request.

 

Security Deposit
The security deposit should consist of at least 10% of the total amount you would like to bid. At the time of registering, you are only allowed to make an initial security deposit of $400, which enables you to bid up to a total of $4,000. Once your registration is processed, if you wish to bid more than $4,000, you must increase your security deposit accordingly, by going to https://www.easyexport.us/user/payment. You can increase your deposit by debit or credit card, PayPal or wire transfer. You will be asked to provide your User ID number so, for faster processing, have it at hand.

 

If you have an annual registration and you wish to bid on more than one vehicle at the same time, your security deposit must include at least $400 for each vehicle you want to bid on.

 

Example: If you want to bid on two vehicles at the same time you must have at least $800 in your security deposit. This will allow you to bid up to $4,000 on each vehicle or a combined total of $8,000 on both vehicles. If you want to bid more than a total of $8,000 on both vehicles then you have to increase your security deposit so that it contains at least 10% of the total amount of money you wish to bid. Similarly, if you would like to bid on three vehicles at the same time, you should have at least $1,200 in your deposit. This will enable you to bid up to $4,000 on each vehicle or a combined total of $12,000 on three vehicles.

 

Please Note: The security deposit can not be used to pay for a vehicle either in part or in full. It is fully refundable at any time upon request, provided that there are no unfinished transactions or pending payments in your account.

 

How to request a refund on your security deposit.
If you have a trial registration, when the 30 days trial period is over, if there is no open transaction, the account will be closed and your security deposit will be refunded automatically.

 

If at any time you wish to get either a partial or full refund of your security deposit, simply click here, login and fill out the deposit request form. Please note, that all transactions must be finished and all balances paid before a refund can be requested. Generally refund requests are processed between 5-7 business days and your refund is remitted to you in the same payment form the deposit was originally made. However, deposits made by debit or credit card or PayPal that are more than 60 days old are refunded in the form of a check, mailed to you within 10 business days for US and Canada.


Residents from all other countries will receive their security deposit refund by wire transfer.


Once a full refund is made, the account will be closed. There must be at least $400 in your deposit in order to keep an account active. If you wish to keep your account active then you have the option of requesting a partial refund, leaving at least $400 in deposit.

 

Step 2: Bid and Win an auction

Look for the vehicle(s) you want.

Once your registration is complete and your account is active, you have full access to A Better Bid Car Auctions where you can browse and bid on salvage vehicles. Just go to www.abetter.bid, then log in, and start searching for and biding on  the vehicle(s) you want.

Visit Copart Auto Auctions
If you are registered with us, you can visit Copart Auto Auctions to inspect any vehicle(s) in person. To do so please log in using one of the yard's bidding kiosks and complete the self-check in, selecting option #4, “Broker Bidder Check-in,”. Upon successfully logging in, you will be asked to enter the number of visitors so that Copart Auto  Auctions can print the correct number of check-in forms at the counter, where you will sign in and pay $25 per person. The bidder/guest form grants you access to preview vehicles only until the Valid Through date on the receipt listed on the bottom right of the form.

 

Bid on the vehicle(s) you are interested in purchasing.

Bidding on the vehicle(s) you would like to purchase is as easy and convenient as it is exciting! Just go to www.abetter.bid, then log in as member and start browsing for the vehicle(s) you want, and bid on them. There are two ways of bidding: Virtual Bidding and Preliminary Bidding.

 

Preliminary Bidding

Those who have a busy schedule can take advantage of A Better Bid Car Auctions unique preliminary bidding system, which allows you to place your maximum bid on the vehicle(s) of your interest, 24 hours a day, at any time up to one hour before the auction. This system is called BID4U.

 

BID4U makes the bidding process easier and more efficient. BID4U represents the highest preliminary bidder during the virtual auction. You simply enter the maximum price you are willing to pay for the lot during preliminary bidding, and BID4U will bid on your behalf up to your maximum bid during the virtual auction.


If you are the highest bidder you may be awarded the vehicle at a lower price than your maximum bid. For example: If your maximum bid is $2,000 and the Virtual auction stops at $1,200 with you as the higher bidder, you get the vehicle for $1,200.


Please note that your maximum bid is absolutely confidential.

 

Virtual Bidding

Virtual Bidding VB3 is done in real time, as the Virtual Auction takes place. The Sale date indicates the date in which the vehicle(s) you are interested in will be auctioned. The item number indicates the order in which they will be auctioned. The Current Bid is the highest price offered for this lot at this time. There may be a higher maximum bid being represented by BID4U. (exact time)

 

Please Note: Once you enter a bid, you can not lower it nor delete it. You can, however, increase it at any time.

 

In case of a tie between a Virtual Bidder and a Preliminary Bidder – Bid Increment Option


To avoid a tie between a Preliminary Bidder and a Virtual Bidder, the automated system BID4U offers an option called Bid Increment. If you select this option when you place your preliminary bid, then in the case of a tie, BID4U will bid only one more additional increment over your maximum bid in order to break the tie.


If a bidder with a higher maximum bid out-bids you, you will be notified via e-mail.

 

If you are encountering problems when placing your bid, it could be for one of the following reasons:

Registration process may not be complete. Make sure you provide us with a copy of your ID. E-mail a copy of your ID to info@easyexport.us or fax it to +1 786-513-5888 you can also upload it by logging into your account and clicking Upload ID on the Dashboard page https://www.easyexport.us/user/login. US Residents may provide us with either a copy of their driver’s license or state I.D. Non US Residents with a copy of their passport.


Once your information is verified and processed you will be able to start bidding.

 

If the following message appears on your screen:

“We're sorry. You have exceeded your bidding limits. Your bid cannot be accepted.”

 

You have insufficient funds in your security deposit to make the bid you want. The security deposit should consist of at least 10% of the total amount you would like to bid. At the time of registering, you are only allowed to make a security deposit of $400, which enables you to bid up to a total of $4,000. Once your registration is processed, if you wish to bid more than $4,000, you must increase your security deposit accordingly, by going to https://www.easyexport.us/user/payment. You can increase your deposit by debit or credit card, PayPal or wire transfer. You will be asked to provide your User ID number so, for faster processing, have it at hand.

 

If you have an annual registration and you wish to bid on more than one vehicle at the same time, your security deposit must include at least $400 for each vehicle you want to bid on.

 

Example: If you want to bid on two vehicles at the same time you must have at least $800 in your security deposit. This will allow you to bid up to $4,000 on each car or a combined total of $8,000 on both vehicles. If you want to bid more than a total of $8,000 on both cars then you have to increase your security deposit so that it contains at least 10% of the total amount of money you wish to bid. Similarly, if you would like to bid on three vehicles at the same time, you should have at least $1,200 in your deposit. This will enable you to bid up to $4,000 on each vehicle or a combined total of $12,000 on three vehicles.

 

If there is still a balance pending on your account from a recent purchase you made. If you were awarded a vehicle in a previous auction, you will not be able to bid on any additional vehicle(s) until all invoices are paid in full and all transactions are cleared.

 

If a message such as the following appears on your screen:

“unexpected error occurred”

 

Check the sale date of the lot you are trying to bid on. If there is no sale date, it means that that lot was pulled from that sale.

 

If you entered a higher bid but it still does not show on the current bids display, try pressing the reload or refresh button or changing your Internet Explorer settings for Temporary Internet Files the following way:

 

In Internet Explorer 3.0 select View -> Options and click on the "Advanced" tab.
In Internet Explorer 4.0 select View -> Internet Options and click on the "General" tab. Click on the Settings button for Temporary Internet Files and select "Every visit to the page" under "Check for newer versions of stored pages:"

 

Remember: the only way to submit your preliminary bid or participate in VB3 sales is by logging in at www.abetter.bid

 

If a message such as the following appears on your screen:

“Invalid bid amount. Please enter digits only (0-9)”

 

Please, check the entered amount. The system does not accept any punctuation marks. For example: if you want to bid $1000.00 (one thousand), you should enter 1000.

 

If a message such as the following comes up on your screen:

“Current status does not allow online bidding”

Win an auction.

How to know if you have been awarded a vehicle:
When you win a vehicle(s) you receive a confirmation e-mail from A Better Bid Car Auctions, as well as an e-mail with an invoice from A Better Bid Car Auctions. If for any reason you receive the confirmation from A Better Bid Car Auctions but not the invoice from A Better Bid Car Auctions you can always log in to your account at https://www.easyexport.us/user/login and get complete access to your invoices by clicking on the tab My Vehicles there you can check on all your invoices and transactions if any.

 

Step 3: Pay the invoice.

After winning a vehicle:

Payment Information and Instructions.

All vehicles are sold to you by A Better Bid Car Auctions, not by Copart auto auctions. Therefore, payments for vehicles must be remitted only to A Better Bid Car Auctions. All of these payments are due in full within two business days of the sale date, before 2PM EST, to avoid any penalty and/or cancellation. This payment must include the full amount of the winning bid, Copart fee and A Better Bid Car Auctions transaction fee, which is $250* for any vehicle purchased. All payments must be made in US dollars. The only acceptable method of payment for the purchase of a vehicle is a wire transfer. A wire transfer is an electronic payment service for transferring funds by wire from one bank account to another.

 

*Vehicles bought by residents of the state of Florida are subject to A Better Bid Car Auctions transaction fee of $399 and a state sales tax of 6% and an additional county discretionary sales surtax (based on the county of Buyer's residence). (Please see http://dor.myflorida.com/dor/forms/2013/dr15dss.pdf for more detailed information).

 

Please note: the funds in your security deposit cannot be used to make partial or full payments on any vehicle.

 

All the bank information needed to make the wire transfer will be indicated on the invoice for the awarded vehicle. Most banks charge a wire transfer fee. Some international customers may even be charged a wire transfer fee from an intermediary bank, in addition to the wire transfer fee charged by the originating bank. Please keep this fact in mind when wiring the funds.

 

Sales Tax

Sales Tax may also be included in your invoice for the purchase of a vehicle. Vehicles bought by residents of the state of Florida are subject to a state sales tax of 6% and an additional county discretionary sales surtax (based on the county of Buyers residence). (Please see http://dor.myflorida.com/dor/forms/2013/dr15dss.pdf for more detailed information). All other states residents must pay taxes upon registering the vehicle(s) in their home state if applicable. Car Dealers are tax exempt, please make sure we have your copy of Dealer License and your State retail tax certificate on file.

Please, be advised: if you purchase a vehicle in Copart Canada, other fees will be applied, different from the indicated below! Please, be advised: the fees for "CrashedToys" items are different from Copart. We encourage you to look them here.

 

Late fee and penalties for not paying for a vehicle(s) on time:
In the event that a payment for a vehicle(s) is not received within 2 business days after the sale a late fee of $50 will be charged for each item bought.
In the event that a payment is not received within seven days of the sale, your deposit shall be considered forfeited, and A Better Bid Car Auctions shall have the right to re-list the vehicle. In addition, you will be charged 10% of the cost of the vehicle plus the transaction fee.


If you live outside the United States and / or cannot make payments on time, we suggest that you pre-pay the full amount before placing your bid.

 

Storage fee
If you fail to pick up your vehicle within 6 calendar days after the sale date the vehicle should be paid within 2 business days  you will be charged a storage fee at a rate of $20 per day.

 

Step 4: Get your vehicle shipped.

Transporting a vehicle
If you reside in the United States, your vehicle may be ready for pick up 24 hours after making your payment, provided that you made the payment before 12PM

Documentation

All documentation is requested with the purposes of complying with the law and / or to avoid identity theft.


When you are awarded a vehicle(s) at A Better Bid Car Auctions you will be asked to provide us with a Power of Attorney Document (POA). This document is needed in order for us to process all the paperwork related to reassigning the vehicle(s) to you, in compliance with the IRS and the DMV. Having this document available will make the process faster and more cost efficient.


The type of documentation that you will receive from us depends on the vehicle(s) that you purchase. Whatever documentation comes with the vehicle to the auction will be reassigned or transferred to you. If the vehicle comes to auction with a Salvage Certificate, that is what you will receive when you purchase the vehicle. Those purchasing vehicles that come with Certificate of Destruction and Bill of Sales, will receive a Bill of Sales issued by A Better Bid Car Auctions only.

All the information you need is just one click away.Thanks to our exclusive system, as a registered buyer you will be able to keep track of all things related to your account with us. Just by logging in to and clicking on the appropriate tab, you will be able to view all your account information, retrieve invoices, keep track of your transactions, order trasportation services, check the current status of vehicles and documnets, etc. We update the information in your account in such a way that you are able to see changes in real time. We also keep you updated trough e-mail alerts.

 

Summary of Payment Methods.

Debit / Credit Card or PayPal.

Debit, Credit Cards or PayPal can be used to pay fees. Make your initial security deposit of $400 and increase your security deposit whenever necessary. However, you may not use a Debit, Credit Card or Paypal to pay for a vehicle awarded to you. Please note that when using these methods of payment there is a maximum limit of $2,500 per transaction.

 

Wire Transfers

You are able to make any and all money transactions by wire transfer: When paying an invoice through a wire transfer please indicate the invoice number to make the processing faster. Once the wire transfer is made please e-mail proof to info@easyexport.us or fax proof to +1 (786) 513-5888.

 

In person

If you would like to visit our office to register and make your security deposit in person, you are welcomed to do so by appointment only.

 

You can not use the funds in your security deposit to make any type of payment.
