EAGLE Historial

Eagle is a car model which production was discontinued in 1998. Despite the fact that it is not produced for more than 10 years now and that the brand was rather short-lived, it was sold in respectable numbers, moreover, its models are still in demand nowadays.

The first models were produced by American Motors Corporation. Then, in 1987 Chrysler Group LLC bought out the American Motors and founded The Jeep/Eagle Division that launched the production of the make in the same year. The name of the make was taken from one of the latest AMC vehicles. But these renewed Eagles were told to be designed for “the enthusiast driver”. It also differed from other Chrysler makes, including Chrysler, Dodge, Plymouth and Jeep, as it has its own logo, not Chrysler's pentastar.

Throughout its history, the brand suffered from a lack of product recognition. One of the reasons for it was the unique logo. Most of its product range was marketed under different guises by Chrysler and Mitsubishi. Corporate marketing budgets were also primarily allocated to these other models. Besides, the Jeep/Eagle Division's efforts were concentrated on the highly successful Jeep models mainly. Moreover, many of the long-established dealers considered the Eagle line of passenger cars to be less profitable than their Jeep business.

As it was mentioned above, its production was discontinued in 1998. Among the reasons for it were lack of recognition of the brand, not sufficient marketing budgets and concentration of Chrysler's division primary on Jeep make.

Nowadays you can hardly find brand new Eagles in a salon. This is discontinuation of production of this make that makes Eagle auto salvage auction the best place to purchase this car. Number of the items is limited, due to this they are in demand. Those who purchase Eagle auto wrecking and spend some money repairing it, may become an owner of a unique model. Among the best models of the make are Medallion, Vista, Summit, and Vision. Don’t forget, that although its production was discontinued it is still a qualitative car, produced by the leading car manufacturers.
